Student Tickets

Enrolled UTRGV students receive complimentary admission to all UTRGV Athletic events with a valid student ID. Student seating at the UTRGV Fieldhouse will remain available on a first-come basis once gates open.  All seats in the student section will be socially distanced.

UTRGV students will receive an email from goutrgv@utrgv.edu to their UTRGV inbox two weeks prior to games hosted at Bert Ogden Arena and the South Padre Island Convention Centre to reserve their ticket at these venues. Student seating at Bert Ogden Arena and the South Padre Island Convention Centre will be issued on a first-come basis.

Season Tickets

Due to the reduced capacity (255 seats) of the UTRGV Fieldhouse, UTRGV students, season ticket holders, corporate partners, and families of student-athletes and coaches will be the only groups permitted to enter the basketball games during the 2020-21 season. If any games get canceled, season ticket holders can rest assured that they will have three options at the end of the season – transfer the balance to the V Club as a donation, receive a credit towards the purchase of season tickets for 2021-22, or receive a refund.

Women's Basketball Schedule
How many fans will be allowed into the UTRGV Fieldhouse for basketball games?

UTRGV Athletics is currently allowing a maximum of 255 fans to attend basketball home games taking place at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

Will single-game tickets be available for purchase?

No. Fans that are not current UTRGV students will need to purchase season tickets to secure their seats.

Will we be allowed to sit together at the event?

You are allowed to sit with people from the same household.

How will social distancing be enforced?

Fans will only be allowed to sit in reserved seats. The seating map creates social distancing. Chairback seats that are not in use will be zip-tied shut. Additionally, ushers and UTRGV Police officers will be making sure that fans are not sitting in, or attempting to sit in, seats that are not in use. There will also be social distancing markers throughout the venue to help remind fans to keep proper distance from other fans.

Will face covering masks be required for all staff and fans at the event?

All staff members and fans are required to wear face masks at all times. The only exception is for those eating and drinking in Vaquero Village. Fans actively eating and drinking can remove their face masks.

Will masks be provided for fans at athletic events?

Disposable masks will be available for fans upon arrival should they not have their own.

What if a patron isn’t wearing a mask or abiding by UTRGV guidelines?

Patrons not wearing a mask or following UTRGV guidelines will be asked to adhere to UTRGV protocols. If the patron(s) does not want to follow the protocols, for the safety of other patrons and our student-athletes and coaches, they will asked to leave the facility.

Will there be temperature checks prior to entering an athletic event?

Yes, temperature checks will be taken for everyone's safety.

Will there be hand sanitation stations at athletic facilities?

Yes. New hand sanitation stations have been installed throughout UTRGV’s athletic facilities.

Will restrooms be available during events?

Restrooms will be available at a reduced capacity to promote proper social distancing.

Will concession stands be available during events?

Menu offerings will be limited to the most high-demand, fan favorite items for speed of service and efficiency. Food items will be wrapped or pre-packaged and offered in easy-to-carry bags, along with packaged utensils. Condiment stands will be eliminated. Pre-packaged condiments, wrapped straws, and napkins will be distributed upon request by staff with each food order.

Where can I eat my concessions?

If you would like to purchase concessions, you will be able to eat outside in Vaquero Village to maintain social distancing and reduce risk when removing your face mask.

How will athletic facilities be sanitized between practices and games? What about tournaments?

There will be a mandatory deep cleaning period of all surfaces and equipment between all practices and games. This includes tournaments.

Will the Pep Band or Spirit Program be present at home games?

In consultation with the university’s COVID Task Force, the UTRGV Pep Band and UTRGV Spirit Program will not perform at home games.

Will we be allowed to take pictures and receive autographs from players after the game?

There will be no postgame photos, autographs or interactions of any kind with student-athletes, coaches and other personnel. Only student-athletes, coaches and officials will be allowed on the court at any point.

What happens if a game gets canceled?

If any games get canceled, you will have three options at the end of the season – turn the money into a donation to the V Club, receive a credit towards the purchase of season tickets for 2021-22, or receive a refund. The amount of money available will be determined by how many games are cancelled or if fans are not permitted to attend.

What if the season gets delayed?

Your season tickets will still be good for the delayed season assuming fans are allowed in the venue. Should you be unable to use your season tickets due to the delay, you will have the same options available as if the games had been canceled.

My season tickets required a V Club donation. What happens to that?

Your V Club donation is non-refundable and will still be used to provide UTRGV student-athletes with the resources and opportunities needed to excel.
