You heard us right! If you have completed your UTRGV Vaccine Portal profile and be enrolled for the Fall Semester by July 14, you will receive $100 cash, and that cash will be directly deposited in your bank account or mailed to you by check by the end of July!

Just be sure you have answered the questions on the UTRGV Vaccine Portal and
be enrolled for the Fall Semester by July 14, 2021. You do not have to do anything else. We will check on July 14, and if we have a record of both actions you 
will automatically qualify for the $100 cash!

If you already have answered the questions once, but something has changed, 
be sure to log in and let us know by July 14.


What is the UTRGV Vaccine Portal?

The UTRGV Vaccine Portal is a voluntary, private, and secure website that was launched earlier this year to organize and record UTRGV’s vaccine efforts.

The website can be accessed by clicking here and by entering your unique UTRGV username and password. Once on the site, you simply have to answer a few questions and click submit. Once you fill out the short form and click submit, you have met one of the two eligibility requirements to receive the $100 cash.


Why is UTRGV doing this?

We are excited about returning to normal operations this Fall Semester, and we also want to ensure we’re doing all we can to keep our campus community safe. This campaign to encourage students to fill out the UTRGV Vaccine portal will help provide UTRGV with important aggregate data that will help guide university operations this fall.

Rest assured, we are maintaining the privacy of your individual answers, and what you tell us doesn’t affect your access to campus services personally. We will be using the aggregated data (such as, a total percentage of who has been vaccinated, whether on or off campus) as we work to keep the campus community safe.

Remind me, do I need to be registered 
for the Fall Semester?

Yes, to qualify for the $100 cash, you must do two things by July 14:

1. Fill out the vaccine portal
2. Be enrolled for the Fall Semester

Registration is available online through ASSIST (Advanced Services for Student Information Supported by Technology). You can log into myUTRGV.edu with 
your UTRGV username and password and click on the ASSIST icon under 
the Applications area.


Can I still receive the COVID-19 Vaccine?

Absolutely! The CDC states that fully vaccinating yourself is safe and effective, 
and that if you are fully vaccinated you may resume activities you did prior 
to the pandemic.

You may obtain the COVID-19 vaccine at Student Health locations in Edinburg and Brownsville. Walk-ups are welcome, though if you prefer to make an appointment, you may do so by registering via the UTRGV Vaccine Portal.


This program is made possible by the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III), authorized in Section 2003(a)(1) of the American Rescue Plan, Public Law 117-2, effective March 11, 2021 (ARP). Under HEERF III and the ARP, institutions are required to implement evidence-based practices to monitor and suppress coronavirus in accordance with public health guidelines.
